Even in today's roiled industry waters, opportunities continue to exist for those with the know-how and perspective to take advantage of new areas. CB Richard Ellis Inc.'s new distressed assets group looks to be one such example. Given the current state of the commercial real estate business, the one area of nearly surefire growth over the coming months is distressed sales. The challenge for the new entity, of course, will be to adapt once the health of the industry improves and the demand for services on distressed sales decreases.
